Thomson Reuters Women’s Network get savvy.

photo 2

Last week Charles Fish was proud to host an event for the Thomson Reuters Women’s Network. Attended by a select group of ladies from the Group, a stimulating discussion was facilitated by Jo Lyon of Talking Talent on “Developing Political Savvy” . The various behaviours of ‘foxes, sheep, owls and donkeys” (courtesy of Baddely and James from the University of Birmingham) led to some feisty debate – lubricated by some delicious chilled champagne and a rather beautiful canapé selection (though it has to be said that the Goats cheese, chocolate and sour cherry truffle was a bit of a surprise!)

After the serious part of the evening was complete, our Buying Director Samantha Hansard took to the floor, introducing guests to some of our newest collections from some exciting new designers such as William Cheshire and Ana de Costa, and some of our favourites including Shaun Leane and Stephen Webster.

A great combination of thought provoking discussion, elegant drinking and jewellery shopping paved the way for a highly successful and enjoyable evening.

The new Charles Fish candle arrives soon

Untitled-1
In keeping with our ongoing passion for beautiful things, we decided we would have a go at making some of our own. A few months ago we commissioned the making of these bespoke fragranced candles. As it was something we had never done before, we spent quite a while testing and inhaling a whole variety of scents.

Developed by specialist perfumiers from the Isle of Arran using the finest quality ingredients, encased in etched glass and packaged in a really pretty presentation box, we are delighted to present these gorgeous ‘green fig’ candles….Read the rest
